Climate Voices Hosts AGU "Share Science in Your Community" Workshop

On June 25, UCAR and Climate Voices hosted the American Geophysical Union (AGU) “Share Science in Your Community Workshop,” which was held at the Mesa Lab.

When scientists share their work and its value with community groups, science enters into the local dialogue, and scientists become accessible resources in their communities.

In order to foster this exchange, Climate Voices hosted an interactive hands-on workshop focused on having participants learn how to communicate science to people in their community in a relevant, engaging, and memorable way. During the workshop, which had a great turnout, participants learned how to identify the right groups to reach out to, how to create an effective message about their research/work, and how to tailor presentations for a specific audience.
